PURPOSE

To present benchmark data collected from multiple large municipal and state police agencies, with respect to policy and procedures of 926 (c) LEOSA credentials and recommend Courses of Action (COAs) for the United States Air Force

DISCUSSION

- The AFSFC is creating a specific 31 series AFI to address the implementation of LEOSA based on the draft DoDI for Law Enforcement personnel; active, retired and individuals separated with 10 years aggregated TAFMS that qualify based on their active duty functions

PURPOSE

Provide an update on the AF Implementation Plan for H.R. 218-3, the Law Enforcement Officer's Safety Act (LEOSA) from previous BBP dated 12 Apr 13.

- The AFSFC is creating a specific 31 series AFI to address the implementation of LEOSA based upon the draft DoDI for Law Enforcement personnel (i.e., active, retired and those separated with 10 years aggregated TAFMS as Security Forces/Security police/Air Police)

GLIN AIR FORCE BASE, Fla. (03/07/2013) - The ‘Battlevision’ experiment tested approximately 33 security forces airmen from here and Lackland AFB, Texas, to determine if vision training techniques could enhance target acquisition abilities and detection of improvised explosive devices.
